Markets.com, the retail brokerage brand under the ownership of Finalto, has announced a notable change in its leadership, appointing Elena Christodoulou as the Head of Europe.
Formerly serving as the Regional Manager of the DACH region since her arrival at the company in February 2021, Christodoulou is now based in Cyprus and will assume this pivotal role.
In her new capacity, Christodoulou will be entrusted with the responsibility of overseeing the company’s operations and strategic endeavors throughout the European market.
Her primary objectives include enhancing the company’s presence and spearheading growth initiatives.
As the Head of Europe, she will also take charge of managing client relationships and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Collaborating closely with regional teams at Markets.com, Christodoulou will focus on tailoring products to cater specifically to the European client base.
The brokerage expressed confidence in her capabilities, stating that her profound understanding of the trading industry and strategic vision will play a pivotal role in advancing the company’s growth objectives in Europe.
Prior to joining Markets.com, Elena Christodoulou held the position of Country Manager of Germany at the Cyprus offices of Tickmill, another prominent retail broker.
Her professional journey began in 2008 within the hospitality industry before she transitioned to the trading sector.
Markets.com is renowned for its retail trading services, offering margin forex and contracts for differences across various asset classes.
The appointment of Elena Christodoulou is just one of several recent executive changes within the company.
In recent developments, Marcelo Spina was named Chief Operating Officer, Luis Dos Santos took on the role of Global Business Development Head, and Dany Mawas assumed the position of Chief Executive Officer for Markets.com’s South African operations.
The brokerage initiated this management shuffle following the appointment of Stavros Anastasiou as the CEO of Markets.com in July, taking over from Matan Shvili, one of the co-founders of the brand.
As Markets.com continues to evolve and expand, these strategic leadership changes are poised to shape the future trajectory of the company in the highly competitive retail trading industry.
